“Nulla si crea, nulla si distrugge, tutto si trasforma“

Mi chiamo Barbara Gulienetti, sono una decoratrice, vivo e lavoro a Roma (dove ho studiato al liceo francese Chateaubriand). Amo l’arte e la decorazione. Mi sono perfezionata presso la Scuola di Pittura Decorativa “Institut Supérieur de Peinture Décorative Van Der Kelen” a Bruxelles e mi sono laureata decoratrice professionista.
Decorazione
Con Benedetta Proto, amica e collega, ho creato la VaBBè Decorazioni e ho iniziato un percorso che negli anni mi ha portato a decorare in Europa, Medio Oriente e Stati Uniti d’America. Ho avuto la possibilità di lavorare in ville meravigliose, splendidi alberghi e di decorare persino degli yacht!
La villa dello sceicco Juffali a Jeddah, lo stand di Roma 2004 ad Atlanta per la candidatura italiana alle Olimpiadi, gli alberghi Palazzo Murat, Le Sirenuse, Villa Tre Ville a Positano e il Plaza a Roma, sono solo alcune delle decorazioni nel mondo che ho firmato.
Viaggiare è rimasta sempre l’altra mia grande passione ed ogni viaggio è una inesauribile fonte d’ispirazione.
Programmi TV
Nel 2005 ho iniziato a lavorare in televisione, conducendo Paint Your Life e nella mia valigia da lavoro, insieme a pennelli e colori, si sono aggiunti chiodi e martello, barre filettate, pistole per silicone, seghetto alternativo e tutti gli arnesi per la ristrutturazione e recupero di oggetti in disuso o in cerca di un diverso utilizzo!
La ricerca di nuovi spunti di ispirazione e lo studio dei diversi campi di applicazione della decorazione e del bricolage mi hanno portata a partecipare, nel 2009, alla trasmissione di Rai 2 “Grazie dei Fiori”, dove ho costruito piccoli giardini e creato ambienti per i fiori.
In TV ho inoltre condotto Com’è fatto, Paint Your Day (Real Time) e Paint your day 4 kids (Frisbee), per poi lanciarmi nell’avventura itinerante di “Paint on the road”, in onda sempre su Real Time.
Nel 2014 è uscita la web- series “Non solo cucce” interamente dedicata agli animali.
Libri
Nel 2011 ho pubblicato il mio primo libro “Paint your Life”(Kowalski) contenente i progetti più belli della trasmissione.
Nel 2012 è uscito un secondo libro “Questo l’ho fatto proprio io “ (Gribaudo), un manuale di bricolage per bambini. Vi quale hanno collaborato oltre a Francesco e Margherita (i miei figli), alcuni loro compagni di scuola.

My name is Barbara Gulienetti, I live and work in Rome (where I studied at the French high school Chateaubriand). I love art and decoration. I graduated as a professional decorator at the School of Decorative Painting “Institut Supérieur de Peinture Décorative Van Der Kelen” in Brussels.
Decoration
With Benedetta Proto, friend and colleague, I created VaBBè Decorations and started a journey that over the years has led me to decorate in Europe, Middle East and United States of America. I’ve had the chance to work in beautiful villas, beautiful hotels and I have even decorated yachts!
Sheikh Juffali’s villa in Jeddah, the Rome 2004 stand in Atlanta for Italy’s candidacy for the Olympics, the hotels Palazzo Murat, Le Sirenuse, Villa Tre Ville in Positano and the Plaza hotel in Rome are just some of the decorations in the world that I signed.
Traveling is my other great passion and every trip is an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
TV programs
In 2005 I started working on television, hosting Paint Your Life ( Discovery) with a trolley full of brushes and colors, nails and hammer, threaded rods, silicone guns, saws and any kind of useful tool for recycling and upcycling objects !
The search for new ideas and the study of the many ways to use decoration and DIY led me to participate, in 2009, in the Rai 2 program “Grazie dei Fiori”, where I built small gardens and created environments for flowers.
On TV I also hosted Com’è fatto, Paint Your Day (Discovery) and Paint your day 4 kids (Frisbee- Discovery), to then embark on the adventure of “Paint on the road”, also broadcasted on Real Time (Discovery)
Books
In 2011 I published my first book “Paint your Life” (Kowalski) containing the best projects of the show
In 2012, a second book was released “Questo l’ho fatto proprio io” (Gribaudo) a DIY manual for children in which Francesco and Margherita (my children) and some schoolmates also collaborated.
